Kiwi John was born in New Zealand and immigrated to Australia in 1988. He started his career as a motor mechanic and he now also works as a freelancer in the film industry. Kiwi John has been creating art for over twenty years however, after a serious motorcycle accident ten years ago the artist took the decision to focus intensively on his craft.
Kiwi John has participated in numerous group exhibitions including with Stephen Paul Studio in St Kilda and at Books Illustrated in Middle Park. His sculptures have been exhibited in both Melbourne and in Europe. This is his first solo exhibition.
In 2006 Kiwi John created ‘Ricky The Shark’ an independent children’s animation series currently available on DVD. A book is currently in development to accompany the series.
